Wheelhouse Open (Formerly Elite Open)

An Olympic Weightlifting Meet for both beginners to the sport and experienced competitors in downtown Birmingham, AL Join us for the Elite Open 2019, an Olympic Weightlifting Meet in downtown Birmingham.

All ages, weight classes and experience levels are welcome.
There will be two divisions to choose from:
- A SANCTIONED Division where competitors are required to have an active USAW membership and required to wear singlets during the competition. Click here to register for a USAW membership.
-We will also have an OPEN Division where singlets and weight lifting shoes are optional and a USAW membership is not required. This is a great way to be introduced to the sport of weightlifting. *note that competitors in this division may not use their score for any advancement or qualifying status towards other sanctioned meets.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION - October 25th through November 29th (Black Friday) - $50/athlete
GENERAL REGISTRATION - November 30th through Sunday, Dec 8th - $65/athlete

All experience levels are welcome. Weight classes and age categories will be:

YOUTH: up to and including 17 years of age
SENIOR: 18 yr old, up to and including 34 years of age
MASTERS: 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 70
