Ribeye Rumble
The Magic City Ribeye Rumble will bring together competitors seeking the title of Best Steak in Birmingham. The event's mission is to become Birmingham's first and only steak cook-off challenge, while raising funds for The Movember Foundation.
What Could I/We Win?
1st Place: The title of Best Steak in Bham and a check for $500. Plus the trophy for this years winner will be a custom restored Axe from Richardson Axeworks!
2nd Place: A check for $250
3rd Place: A check for $125
What is the cost to compete?
Early Bird Registration is $89 until Friday Nov, 2nd. General Registration will be $99 until the cut off date of Friday, Nov 23rd. If you would like to also compete in the appetizer category (Potatoes Your Way), it will be an additional $25. This price is for a team which consists of one team captain. Additional teammates will simply pay the price of admission for attendees. ($10 online, $15 the day of event) Attendee registration will go live in November.

Will I be able to attend the event even if Im not competing/cooking?
Of course! Admission will be $10-$15. We will begin ticket sales in November for all attendees.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Load in and set up time will be 7am - 9am the day of the event. You will be first on site so parking will be first come first serve for all competitors. There is plenty of parking in the Back Forty lot as well as the lot directly behind them.
What can I bring into the event?
Each competitor/team will have space for a 10x10 tent. You must bring your own tent, grill and fuel sources. Also permitted is table, chairs and coolers. A fire extinguisher is highly recommended.
Will the steaks be provided for the competition? What about the potatoes?
Yes, we will provide all competitors with the same quality ribeye, cut to the same thickness. Each team will get two (2) steaks and must turn in one (1). If you enter into the appetizer competition, you must supply your own potatoes since any form of potato is allowed. There must be enough to serve each of the five (5) judges a sample taste.
